Using The Collection
Access to the collection is free of charge but anyone wishing to use the Library on a non-residential basis should complete the application form and provide two forms of ID, one with a recent photograph and one (dated within the last three months) showing proof of address. This allows use of the collection for reference purposes only. Cards will be issued and should be shown upon arrival at Reception each time you visit the Library. Please click here for Library regulations.
The Reading Rooms are open to non-residents from 9.00 a.m. - 6.00 p.m. on Monday - Saturday. The Food for Thought Coffee Shop is open for morning coffee and afternoon tea from 10.00 a.m. - 12.00 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. - 4.00 p.m. Lunch is available from 12.00 p.m. to 2.00 p.m. Please note that food and drink may not be taken into any other parts of the building.
We hope that you will enjoy using our facilities and that you will consider supporting our work by becoming a Friend of St Deiniol's Library. All money that we receive from the Friends helps us meet our day-to-day running costs; it is not for special projects or any 'extras' - it is purely and simply to help us keep going. A bank mandate is included in the Friends leaflet but if you prefer to set up a payment by another method (e.g. internet banking), please do so. All we would ask is that you advise us of the date of your first payment and the amount and frequency of subsequent payments.
