Jill of All Trades, Mistress of Some

Stella Duffy has written twelve novels encompassing literary, crime and historical fiction, ten plays, fifty short stories, many essays and articles – she also directs and teaches theatre and writing. She will read from her work and speak about how doing many things, rather than just one, feeds and enhances her work

Author Talk – Alison Weir
Wednesday 20th June, 8pm
Alison Weir trained as a history teacher and is passionate about history. Her first book, Britain`s Royal Families, was published in 1989. She has since written a further fourteen history books, including The Six Wives of Henry VIII, Elizabeth the Queen, Eleanor of Aquitaine, Katherine Swynford and The Lady in the Tower: The Fall of Anne Boleyn. Alison has also published three historical novels, Innocent Traitor, The Lady Elizabeth and The Captive Queen. Her latest history book, Mary Boleyn: “The Great and Infamous Whore”, was published in October 2011 and her next historical novel will be the subject of her talk and is due out in 2012.
