Venue Hire for Social Events

As well as holding events and courses throughout the year which are a perfect way to meet new people, discuss ideas and network, the Library’s facilities are also available for hire. If you are an event organiser, a member of a group or society or even looking for a venue to celebrate a special occasion – then Gladstone’s Library could be the perfect choice.
Our larger meeting room caters for up to 36 delegates and the layout can be arranged to suit your needs. Our staff can offer advice and help with your requirements, ensuring that you take full advantage of our audio-visual equipment. The conference rooms can be hired on a room only basis or with the addition of tea/coffee and lunch for your members/participants.
Our smaller conference room - the Anwyl Room - is ideal for smaller meetings and events and can accommodate up 16 delegates. This charming room is popular with organisations wishing to hold their meetings somewhere with a inspiring and tranquil ambience. Once again, we can offer tea/coffee and lunch for your members/participants.
Our rooms can be hired for a morning, afternoon or evening session.

Glynne Room £37.50 per session
Anwyl Room £27.50 per session
Robinson Room £20 per session
Wickham Room £17.50 per session (available 9am-5pm only)
We can arrange for our rooms to be laid out to meet your requirements – perhaps you are giving a talk or having a presentation event and would wish chairs to be in rows or maybe you are looking for a room which is laid out informally so that people can enjoy meeting up and chatting.
We can offer refreshments to meet your requirements whether this is a buffet or a special dinner or even just teas and coffees during a break in proceedings.
